After graduating I went to Dominican College. My intention was to transfer away after two years, once I decided what I wanted to major in. Sadly my father passed away unexpectedly in 1977 and that plan changed. I graduated from Dominican with a B.S. in Business Administration with a dual major in financial management and economics. (Mr. Dinan and Mr. O’Brien probably did not see that coming).
I started working in banking and then switched to small private companies. I enjoyed my working years with a nice work/life balance. With no rush to marry and have children, my nieces gave me the joys of children without the pain of childbirth. I couldn’t love them more. My second and biggest loss was my mother who I cherished, in 2013.
I married my husband, Ravi (a loving, wonderful man who was in my life for 25 years) in 2015. I now have nephews too and am a Mammi (The Tamil word for Aunt) which is pronounced Mommy. 😉 Ravi and I are both retired although Ravi is continuing to consult. We enjoy spending time with family, traveling, the arts and quiet nights at home.
As our reunion approaches, I think back fondly of my school years. My memories of some are from William O. Schaefer, The Middle School and of course TZ. I feel fortunate to have grown up at the time we did, where we did and for all of you that have shared that journey and touched my life. This includes the classmates taken much too early and are truly missed.
I look forward to seeing and catching up with all of you who are able to attend the reunion. For those who are unable to attend, I wish you well and hope that your golden years are filled with happiness.
