Admittedly, I did not excel in high school but I had a good time. If I put my mind to it I could have had better grades but I’m sure many of us can say that.
I attended SUNY Brockport for two years, rooming with John Hogerheide freshman year. There was a ton of partying but I actually did well. I transferred to FDU Teaneck-Hackensack for my last two years and graduated with a degree in Marketing.
I was unable to land a job in Marketing/Advertising so I was working and job hunting. I caddied at Rockland CC (very close to our house) and one day I caddied for a nice Dutchman. He asked what I was doing and I told him I was looking. He gave me his business card and the name of a person I could interview with. I got my first “real job” working for Maersk Line in 1 World Trade Center. My career in Supply Chain was in motion. It was a blast and we had a really good softball team.
I went on to work for Van Munching (importer of Heineken), Then Seagrams/Diageo in the wine division. In 2013 I took a position with Delicato Family Wines in California. I was there 11 years until retiring and moving back to NJ.
My wife Carole and I have two amazing grown daughters, both now married. My oldest is expecting our first grandchild on 1/31/26 so we are super excited.
I enjoy golfing (I’m not great lol), spending time with family, and travel. Looking forward to the reunion!
