I grew up on Coolidge Street with wonderful parents and six 6 siblings. Happy memories include riding bikes to Vanhouten‘s farm, the Nauraushaun & Blauvelt delis and Silver Rocks. My playground was the woods from Convent Road to the 40-Foot. Sleigh riding on Blue Hill or at TZ and ice skating on the creek were my favorite.
I went to Saint Catherine’s, Rosary & TZ. Fun high-school memories include cutting class to get a hero (deli next to Waldbaums!), concerts in NYC, hiking around TZ rock, and camping in Harriman.
Out of high school I worked for the Port of Authority for a year then moved to Florida where I met my husband, had kids and obtained an MBA (Sister Rose Walter and Mr. Dinan would be proud & perhaps shocked 🙂
I spent 30 years in banking, managing System conversions, mergers & acquisitions (Citibank, TIAA Cref, EverBank). The last years I spent in Cybersecurity (never click on any link ever!).
I recently retired and spend my time with my family. (grand mothering is the best !) I volunteer to help women in need and most days I either run, bike or swim. When not traveling, time is split between Florida and Western NC. I am blessed to come from a loving family of nine where I learned to love God and others. Very proud to be a Flying Dutchman from Rockland.
The 2016 reunion was fantastic, and I look forward to catching up with everyone.
