SUNY@Brockport graduated with a degree in Therapeutic Recreation
Received my certification in T.R after interning at NYU and passing an exam
My professional career started at a local nursing home …then in a 1,000 bed NYC rehab, medicine and skilled nursing units. The stories I could tell about the patients I worked with and their stories of how they arrived at the facility ! In fact we had one of America’s Most wanted as a patient! Had the pleasure of working with poets, politicians and alleged famous people (still have no idea who they were). While there I was requested to return to where my career started to be the Director of Therapeutic Recreation dept and given the promise I could return should I chose. Funny where your journey takes you or returns you!
For about 30 years I was in a relationship with a man who taught me patience, made me laugh and eventually made me realize it wasn’t enough.
So now my days are filled with good people, adventures and lots of laughs!
