After graduating from TZ, I attended RCC and earned my associate’s degree. At the time, college wasn’t really my focus, so I explored a variety of jobs before eventually returning to school later in life to earn my bachelor’s degree from Dominican College.
I spent most of my career working for Lederle Laboratories, which later became Pfizer. I was there for 32 years until the plant eventually closed, marking the end of a long and memorable chapter of my career.
After that, I began working at an independent senior living facility, where I’ve now been for the past 10 years and continue to enjoy the work and the people.
Family and friends have always been a big part of my life, along with occasional vacations whenever I can fit them in. My three children are all graduates of Tappan Zee High School and have each gone on to build careers of their own. Best of all, they have each given me a grandchild. I still happily call Blauvelt home.
