I have spent more than four decades in travel and hospitality, mostly on the Caribbean and Mexico Resort/Hotel side of the business. Currently I have spent the last 8 year with Casa de Campo Resort and Villas in the Dominican Republic. Probably the most fun and rewarding job in my professional career and no plans to retire anytime soon.
Personally, I have been married to my high school sweetheart and love of my life Eva (Moreno – Class of ‘78) Rodriguez for the last 40 years. Professionally, Eva has spent the last 20 plus with an aviation maintenance repair company. With 3 boys, 3 daughter-in-law’s and 1 granddaughter and 2 more grandchildren on the way, we have been very blessed. And we are so proud of our boys, one is a Lieutenant with Leigh Acres Fire Department, one is an attorney and our youngest is an entrepreneur with his own E-Bay business. I am equally proud of my daughter-in-law’s that have been equally successful in their professional careers with one being a Mental Health Therapist, one being Physical Therapist and the other being in Career Development (HR) for Universal Studios in Orlando.
Finally, the things we miss (aside from our friends) since moving away from Rockland County are the Rockland Bakery, King Kone and Nanuet Hotel Restaurant.
